I went to a movie screening for Joey Garfield and Steve ESPO Power's "a love letter for you". It documents Steve as he paints a series of murals on 50 rooftops along the Septa EL train line in West Philly. It also mixes in the fictional story of FIRE (a character based on one of the great Philly writers, AGUA).
There always comes a time for a graffiti writer to rethink how he balances his life and graffiti. Everybody has different answers for that but whatever you become (mainstream, artist, sell-out..), that's what you decide and earn. It doesn't matter what people say because all the missions you went through, the most energetic, exciting and shining moments of your life- that is graffiti.
It's a great film to check out the history of Philly graffiti as well. Big up Steve!
