つや消しの黒いボデイに斬新なスタイルのステルス攻撃機, F-117Nighthawkが４月２２日ネバタ州にあるTonopah Test Range Airfieldへの飛行を最後に現役引退。
１９８１年の初飛行から２７年間に５９機が生産され、パナマ侵攻、コソボ紛争、イラク侵攻などに出撃、うち３９機は既に現役から外されており７機は作戦中にクラ〜ッシュ。。見えない爆撃機が売りなのに結構堕ちてるのは気のせいでしょうか。。。
後継機はやはりF-22Raptor。

The inky black, angular, radar-evading F-117 will retire after 27years in service including major missions such as invasion of Panama, Invation of Iraq storm and Cosobo war in Serbia...
In all, there have only been 59 F-117s that have rolled off the assembly line, 37 of which have already been taken out of the skies, and another 7 which have crashed...
The aircraft is being replaced by a newer model, the F-22 Raptor.
